AwardWallet has owned points-balance tracking since 2004 and nothing else here competes with it. Connect your airline, hotel and card loyalty accounts and see every balance and expiry date in one place, worldwide. It is a different job from the benefit trackers, and it coexists with all of them.
Stores loyalty-programme logins, not bank logins — a materially lower-stakes credential, but a stored credential nonetheless, and worth weighing as one.
The free tier is workable but limits account updates, caps travel history at a year, shows ads and omits expiration alerts. Plus removes those limits. Note the price rose from $30/yr in 2024 — older reviews still quoting $30 are out of date.
What it does well
- The only app here that actually fetches your balances instead of asking you to type them in.
- Works worldwide across hundreds of programmes, including expiry dates — the thing that silently costs people the most.
- Founded in 2004. In a category where everything else launched from 2019 onward, that track record is close to unique.
Where it loses
- It works by storing your loyalty programme logins. Lower stakes than a bank login, but still a stored credential.
- Some major programmes, American AAdvantage among them, actively block it. Those balances go back to manual.
- Does not track card benefits or annual fee credits at all. This is a different job, not a cheaper version of one.
- The free tier withholds expiration alerts, which is the feature most likely to save someone real money.
Verdict
Still the answer for balances. Run it alongside a benefit tracker rather than instead of one.
